C'mon, partner up with Urban Voices Project (UVP) and Skid Row Artists on June 12th for the first ever downtown-wide musical jam through pop-up musical pods across neighborhood to neighborhood culminating at the inaugural Little Tokyo Healing Festival.
The C’mon, Sing! Festival takes UVP’s artists, voices and songs beyond Skid Row to Downtown Neighborhoods so folks across the socio-economic spectrum, housed and unhoused, can together ignite the healing power of music in all of us. Neighbors passing by can engage in this interactive Open Mic musical jam street festival with community singing or songs of their choice, whether they are professional performers or experienced shower singers.
The C'mon Sing! Festival will be hosted by Broadway legend Ben Vereen and Skid Row feminist activist and UVP Choir member Linda Leigh.

Developed by a participant-driven committee, the C’mon Sing Festival is the first in Los Angeles history to celebrate the artistry and leadership of Skid Row artists across DTLA neighborhoods. Teams of Skid Row musicians and stakeholders assemble various different musical pods in high foot-traffic, public spaces, one for each neighborhood and district in downtown. Community partners representing these diverse districts support the hosting of each pod. With instruments, microphones and amplification along with uplifting song and spirit, these pods facilitate community jams and open mic sessions. Each pod’s activities reach wider audiences through a livestream utilizing a videographer at each pod adjoining into one zoom live feed. The event concludes with all pods returning to a partnership between Skid Row and Little Tokyo for the finale all-pod Singalong, then kicking off Little Tokyo Resource Center's Healing Festival held at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center (JACCC) through Sustainable Little Tokyo.
