Neighborhood Sing

Neighborhood Sing is an immersive music workshop consisting of participatory singing and mindfulness activities led by music professionals. These activities include instruction of songs from a diverse repertoire, mind-body practices, breathing exercises, improvisation, and discussion. This workshop aims to improve mental health, amplify self-expression, develop social and emotional learning, and build community.

I can tell people about it [Neighborhood Sing], but to get the understanding of it, you have to experience it. We sing, but we also give people a safe place. Even if it’s just for an hour, we give people the space to just be themselves. Even for people that want to just listen or rest, it’s a safe place if you want to just take a quick nap. You’re okay here. People get what they need. We have something for everybody.
